Four kinds of appointment, one dentist for all of them

Most visits here are preventative: a cleaning, a screening, an x-ray. The other three groups below exist for when something has to be fixed, replaced or changed, and Dr. Amini has been doing all four from this same office since 1993. Nothing on this page has a listed price, because what any of it costs depends on the tooth and the insurance plan behind it. Call the office and it can be worked out properly.

The visit the other three groups are here to make rare

Regular hygiene visits, oral cancer screening and periodontal charting, done with low-radiation digital x-rays doing the looking. Emergencies and second opinions are seen here too, and so are extractions and root canals if it gets that far.

Whitening in the chair, or a system you take home

In-office whitening takes about an hour, with the gel agitated every five to seven minutes under a gum barrier. If you would rather go slower, there is an at-home system instead. Invisible restorations match the tooth rather than announcing themselves, and invisible braces are available for a straighter fit without metal brackets.

Crowns, implants and the teeth around them

Crowns come in porcelain-fused-to-metal, gold or all-ceramic, depending on which tooth it is and whether it shows. Implants replace a missing tooth root without shaving down the healthy teeth either side of the gap, and two or three implants can be enough to stabilise a lower denture. Dentures, partials, fillings, bonding and porcelain veneers are all handled here too, along with removable prosthodontics and other missing-tooth replacement.

Chart 04Regular Checkups

The appointment where nothing is supposed to happen

Oral cancer screening, periodontal charting, and low-radiation digital x-rays, along with whatever area of concern you raised last time. This is the same appointment children come in for, with fluoride and sealants added on when they need them.

What gets checked

Sterile dental instruments laid out on a tray beside the chair before a checkup
